An unusual combination that taste great with fresh summer strawberries. This makes a great dessert when entertaining as quick and easy, light but indulgent. It is important that you serve the strawberries at room temperature so that they are full flavoured.

  • 500g strawberries (at room temperature), washed, hulled and halved and quartered according to their size
  • 200-300ml cointreau (according to taste)
  • freshly ground black pepper

To Serve

  • mint leaves

Method

  1. Strawberries with Cointreau: Distribute the strawberries among six large wine glasses. Pour 30-50ml of cointreau over each serving of strawberries. Grind a little pepper over the strawberries.
  2. To Serve: Garnish the strawberries with mint small mint leaves. Serve
