Vietnamese Table Salad

This table salad accompanies many Vietnamese dishes and is simply made up of a selection of mixed herbs a little cucumber and lettuce.

Table Salad

  • 1 small lettuce eg. iceberg or Chines
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 generous handful of beansprouts
  • 1 generous handful of holy basil or normal basil leaves
  • 1 generous handful of mint leaves
  • 1 generous handful of coriander leaves


  1. Table Salad: Separate the salad leaves into serving pieces or slice the Chinese lettuce and arrange it in onto 1 corner over a large serving plate. Place a row of the cucumber slices beside the lettuce, followed by the bean sprouts and separate corners each for the mixed salad leaves. Cover the salad with cling film and refrigerate until ready to serve.
