Occombe Farm is a project of Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, an environmental charity looking after many of Torbay's wild places and heritage sites. All the profits from Occombe Farm go to support conservation work in Torbay.
Occombe is a 150 acre organic farm which is part of 1750 acres of land managed by Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust. The farm is a mixture of pasture, wet meadows and woodland with a triple S I at its heart. This stands for Site of Special Scientific Interest and means that the area has important habitat and species that need to be protected. The farm has remained unimproved, without being drained or the extensive use of fertilisers, since World War two and as such represents a fragment of our country's farming past.
