Singapore Sling
The singapore Sling was invented at the famous Raffles Hotel by Ngiam Tong Boon. This recipe is my favourite mix, which I got from the Savoy Recipe Book, printed in the 1930's. The are many other recipes for Singapore Sling, which many can be found on the web.

Ingredients
Sling
- 1 litre of Gin
- 250ml of Cherry Brandy
- 250ml of Benedictine
- 2 Lemons
- 1teaspoon of Angostura Bitters
- 1teaspoon of Orange Bitters
- Soda Water
- Ice
Method
- Preparation: Squeeze the lemons and set juice aside. Also, pop the glasses into the freezer, to allow them to chill down for a few minutes
- Mix: Place the gin, benedictine and cherry brandy into a shaker. Add the lemon juice, Angostura and Orange Bitters and shake.
- To Serve:: Place into 6 large glasses with ice and add soda water and ice as desired.
