This ice-cream has all the flavour of a cream based ice-cream without the calories. Natural yoghurt is great for our health and fresh strawberries and blueberries are full of vitamins.
Preparation: 30 minutes
Cooking: 1 Litre Of Frozen Yoghurt
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 300g strawberries, stems removed and diced
- 150g blueberries
- 500g natural yoghurt
- 5 tbsp honey
To Serve: (optional)
- 200g strawberries
- 100g blueberries
Method
- Frozen Yoghurt: Place all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and puree the ingredients until well blended. There should be little bits of strawberries and blueberries throughout the puree.
- Place the puree in your ice-cream machine and prepare according to your manufactures instructions. Churn the mixture until it is thick, then place it in a freezer proof container and freeze. If you don't have an ice-cream machine place it in a freezer proof container with a well sealed lid and place it in the freezer until semi set (around 2 hours) and mix well, then return it to the freezer and repeat this process every 30 minutes for 2 hours. Freeze until ready to serve.
- To Serve: Remove the frozen yoghurt from the freezer 10 minutes before serving. Serve the frozen yoghurt with fresh strawberries and blueberries.
