Ever since the Edinburgh Farmers' Market open for business in 2000, it has been very popular locals and foodie tourists, alike. It has grown from a handful of stalls to 30 odd, and the number of visitors can reach thousands during the busy summer period. So, why do they come? Well, for some great Scottish produce, like organic meat and vegetables, seafood, eggs, bread, cured meats, relish and pickles, fruit and berries to name a few.

So, if you are locals looking to buy direct from the farmer, or you are visiting Edinburgh then call by and get some great food treats. You can grab a coffee or a venison burger, along with pastries and cakes, so you won't go hungry during your visit; all taking place right under Edinburgh Castle.
