Matthew's first book, Wine, is informative and fun to read. He has managed to capture the style of his talks in print, making it one of the easiest to read books on what can be a dry subject. It takes the reader from the grape varieties, how wine is made, wine and food and the wine growing areas (of which Bordeaux has more pages devoted to it more than any other area.) I found the section on looking and smelling your way around wine very informative.
We rate this book very highly, not only for the information contained within it, but also for the easy going style that it is written in.
